JONNO – John Richardson

Artist Statement

I as an artist get my inspiration from an emotional intelligence, of self-awareness, motivation, and empathy.

My influences come from other artist’s on how they see their mediums, techniques, colours, and forms.
As I progress with my art form, things become interesting, visual, and happy. I can then connect with my subject in a more composed manner, and belief.

Artist Profile

John Richardson is a self-taught artist, and his native country is Basildon, Essex, England.
He leaned to draw at the age of 9 years from his stepfather Harold, who was also a keen Philatelist collector.  John’s great grandfather was also known as a street artist, as he made small pennies drawing on pavements on the streets of London.

He studied at the De-Brome school for boys where he gained O’Level’s in Art, English, Biology and Technical Drawing.
He has also been a competent signwriter and figurine painter.

He works on several mediums, including Pencil, Charcoal, Oil, Acrylic, Wood, and any other obscure surfaces.
He now resides in Pathos in Cyprus where he continues his practice in a peaceful and tranquil environment.
